EU technical expert group on sustainable finance final report on taxonomy

The EU technical expert group on sustainable finance (TEG) published its final report on the taxonomy for sustainable economic activities. The report contains recommendations relating to the overarching design of the EU Taxonomy, as well as extensive implementation guidance on how companies and financial institutions can use and disclose against the taxonomy.

The TEG has also published a technical annex, which contains an updated list of technical screening criteria for economic activities that can substantially contribute to climate change mitigation or adaptation, including an assessment of significant harm to other environmental objectives.

The report supersedes previous reports published by the TEG on the taxonomy in December 2018 and June 2019.
