FCA release consultation on Proposals to enhance climate-related disclosures by listed issuers and clarification of existing disclosure obligations
06 March 2020The consultation proposes a new rule for commercial companies with a UK premium listing, which would require them to state whether they comply with the recommendations of the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, explaining any non-compliance. It also consults on guidance on existing obligations set out in EU legislation and in the FCA Handbook that may already require issuers to disclose information on climate-related and wider environmental, social and governance matters under certain circumstances.
The consultation closes on 1 October 2020.
