Transition from LIBOR in the loan market – LMA Webinar Update September 2020

Transition from LIBOR in the loan market – LMA Webinar Update September 2020
On Demand

Regulators across the globe have made it clear that the central assumption remains that firms cannot rely on LIBOR being published after the end of 2021. The clock is ticking and various key interim milestones are rapidly approaching at the end of September 2020. Work on LIBOR transition continues in order to meet the impending deadlines and we have now seen the release of recommended conventions for syndicated loans for US dollars, sterling and Swiss francs.

This webinar, presented by Kam Mahil and Keith Taylor of the LMA, provides an update on transition since the previous webinar in May 2020. In particular, it covers the following key topics:

• Where are we now on transitioning from LIBOR?
• Update on current 'loan market' transition issues
• What should loan market participants be doing?

Note that this webinar provides an update to a previous webinar from May 2020, so it may be beneficial (although not essential) to watch the May 2020 webinar first. Click here to access that webinar.

Please note that this webinar was filmed on 4 September 2020.
