EU Parliamentary Committee vote in favour of amending corporate sustainability due diligence requirements

09 February 2023

On 9 February 2023, the European Parliament's (the Parliament) Environment Committee voted in favour of tightening the requirements under the draft Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).

The Environment Committee recommended that the CSDDD requirements should be extended to cover all companies operating in the European Union with more than 250 staff and an annual worldwide turnover of more than €40 million.

This new proposal will now go to the Parliament's Committee on Legal Affairs to vote on next month before the European Parliament and EU member states have a final vote.
