ESAs publish final report on draft RTS under SFDR for fossil gas and nuclear energy activities

On 30 September 2022, the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) – comprised of the European Securities and Markets Authority, the European Banking Authority, and the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority – published a final report on the draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) for fossil gas and nuclear energy activities under the Sustainability Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).

Adjustments to the RTS focus on the disclosure of specific investments in fossil gas and nuclear energy related environmentally sustainable economic activities (taxonomy-aligned investments).

The ESAs final report includes proposed changes to the template, content and presentation of the information to be provided in pre-contractual documents, on both the website and periodic reporting under SFDR.
