UK Government extends consultation on new long-term environmental targets under Environment Act 2021
09 May 2022On 9 May 2022, the UK Government's Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) pushed back the closing date of its consultation on environmental targets for England from 11 May 2022 to 27 June 2022.
The consultation relates to the proposals for legally-binding environmental targets under the Environment Act 2021, including long-term targets for water, air quality, biodiversity and waste.
