European Commission publishes draft notice on the interpretation of certain legal provisions under Article 8 of EU Taxonomy Regulation on the reporting of eligible economic activities and assets

On 2^nd February 2022, the European Commission adopted a draft notice on the interpretation of certain legal provisions of the Taxonomy Disclosures Delegated Act ((EU) 2021/2178) on the reporting of eligible economic activities and assets.

The notice is intended provide clarity on the content of the Taxonomy Disclosures Delegated Act which supplements Article 8 of the Taxonomy Regulation in order to aid its implementation. The notice consists of a number of frequently asked questions on the Taxonomy Disclosures Delegated Act, and covers the following areas:

• general frequently asked questions;
• non-financial undertakings;
• financial undertakings;
• debt market; and
• interaction with other regulations.
