IOSCO publishes final report recommending sustainability-related practices, policies, procedures and disclosures in asset management

On 2 November 2021, the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) published its final report which sets out its recommendations on sustainability-related practices, policies, procedures and disclosures in asset management. The guidance looks to assist asset managers in considering material sustainability-related risks and opportunities as well as to integrate these into their business-decision strategies.

Drafted by the IOSCO Task Force on Sustainable Finance (SFT), the guidance addresses key investor protection issues and includes results from the SFT's fact-finding exercises. The report also covers feedback to IOSCOS's June 2021 consultation, with a summary of responses included in the annex to the report.
