​IOSCO publishes report on corporate issuer's sustainability-related disclosures

On 28 June 2021, the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) published a report on corporate issuers' sustainability-related issuer disclosures. The report was developed by IOSCO's Sustainable Finance Taskforce (STF) and puts emphasis on the urgent need to improve the consistency, comparability and reliability of sustainability reporting for investors.

The STF’s work to-date has aimed to aid investors' evolving informational needs and improve the functioning of markets by promoting the implementation of a global corporate sustainability reporting architecture. The report sets out, amongst other things, IOSCO’s vision for the International Sustainability Standards Board, which the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation has been working to set up.
