French Government publish Decree setting out ESG information to be provided by financial market participants

On 27 May 2021, the French Government published, in the Official Journal, Decree 2021-663 of 27 May 2021 issued for the application of article L. 533-22-1 of the Monetary and Financial Code (the Decree).

The Decree sets out the information that financial market participants must provide, on the methods of taking environmental, social and governance criteria into account in their investments and on the means implemented to contribute to the energy and ecological transition.

This text will enter into force on 29 May 2021.
