Middle East Certificate Course

We are delighted to announce that we are taking our flagship certificate course to Dubai for the first time.

The LMA Certificate Course will be held over 3.5 days, from 20th to 23rd May, and is for all our members across the Middle East region. 

Who is it for
It is aimed at those working in the banking and institutional investor markets looking to gain a broad understanding of the workings of the primary and secondary syndicated loan markets. The course can also be for those working in the legal profession.

In particular, it is aimed at those:

• Relatively new to international banking; or
• Practitioners, working in one segment of the loan market, who require a broader overview of the various activities which make up the        loan market; or
• Junior personnel in origination, distribution or a trading team; or
• Seeking to enter a syndication team and need to develop their knowledge of the market; or
• Practitioners in other product groups, such as asset swaps, CDS and relative value, who require an insight into the syndicated loan market.

Agenda
An overview of the course programme is available under the Agenda tab. It covers all the usual core modules but with additional content relevant to the region, for example Islamic Finance.

Payment & cancellation
The course fee is £1,000 which covers all tuition, lunches, refreshments and course materials.

Invoices will be raised 6 weeks in advance of the course, and Joining Instructions will be sent out approximately 2 weeks before the start of the course.

Please do advise at your earliest convenience if you are no longer able to attend, as once we have raised your invoice, we will not be able to issue a refund. Those who cancel their attendance on/after 8 April 2024 will be eligible for the full cost of the course. After this time, a substitute delegate must be nominated prior to the start of the course.

Joining the course

Please note that by registering for this course, you will be expected to attend in person. This is not a virtual course.

You will receive detailed joining instructions approximately 2 weeks before the course starts, which will include the course timings, how to travel to the venue and any additional information.
