Sustainable finance: The difficult questions ahead

2021 saw significant growth in momentum behind the sustainable finance market and, in particular, the sustainability linked loan market. However, whilst the syndicated loan market is rapidly evolving to meet this changing environment, a number of difficult questions remain unanswered. This panel will look back at the achievements of the last 12 months, but will also explore some of the difficult questions that still need to be addressed, including transition finance, expensive to abate sectors, the ‘S’ in ESG, and the financing of biodiversity and nature.
