East African Loan Markets Conference & Training

We are excited to announce that the Loan Market Association (LMA) is returning to Nairobi! We invite you to our East Africa Conference on 11 November 2025. This event promises a day filled with insightful discussions and valuable networking opportunities tailored for both LMA members and non-member colleagues (invitation only). Featuring our usual impressive line-up of speakers, we will cover:

• Morning educational deep dive into syndicated lending: gain a better understanding of the commercial aspects of the product and how the market works.
• Understanding Borrower Motivations: Exploring what borrowers really care about from a documentation perspective.
• Economic outlook: what is the outlook for East Africa and how might this impact investor sentiment? 
• The Future of the East African Loan Markets: Delve into the where, how and to whom international banks, as well as DFIs, are deploying funds across the continent, the ongoing challenges of doing so and the outlook for the remainder of the year.
• The Future of Blended and Alternative Finance: Exploring the growing importance of private credit, ECAs and the growth of the insurance market outside traditional bank lending and possible areas for expansion

The event will begin with registration and breakfast at 09:00, followed by the conference starting at 09:30. The conference will conclude at 17:30, followed by a drinks and networking reception open to all attendees.

This event is free of charge, and open to LMA members and selected non-members by invite only.

• Invited non-members will need to contact registration.lmaevents@lma.eu.com to request a registration link. 

Registration is scheduled to close at 5PM (UK time) on 7 November 2025. However, please note that we may close registration earlier if the event fills up beforehand.

Cancellation Policy:

This is an extremely popular event which attracts a long waiting list. You can cancel your attendance by 5:00PM (UK time) on 7^th November 2025, emailing registration.lmaevents@lma.eu.com. Failure to notify us or cancelling after this date, will result in your place being forfeited at the conference next year.
