LMA User login and password queries
I've forgotten my LMA password, what do I do?
Please go to the "Forgotten Password" section on the homepage and follow the instructions.
How do I become a User of the LMA website?
If you are employed by an organisation which is a Member of the LMA, and you wish to gain individual access to the Members' side of the LMA website to view LMA documentation and to be able to register for LMA events, you must firstly register your individual details by clicking here Register to Access Members' Area.
If I login and get an error message, what do I do?
Please check that you have entered the correct Username (email address) and password. If you receive an error message saying, "Your institution is not registered with us", this could mean that we do not currently have your particular email domain in our database and therefore the website does not recognise you. Please send your email address to website@lma.eu.com and we will add your domain. You will receive a reply when this has been done allowing you to login as usual. If you still receive an error message, please contact website@lma.eu.com for assistance stating the problem and the information in the error message you received.

How do I find out if I can have a free place at an LMA event?
Please go to View LMA Members on the left hand side of our home page and search for your organisation. If your institution is shown as a FULL member, you are entitled to one free place at a chargeable event. Your Nominated Representative should normally advise who the free place is allocated to, should a number of people wish to attend, otherwise the free place is allocated to the first delegate to register. Only the first Full Member place is free, all other subsequent places are chargeable. If your institution is shown as an Associate Member, you are not entitled to a free place and all places booked will be chargeable.
How do I find out the cost of an event?
Click on the Events Calendar to view all LMA events, and click on the event you wish to register for. Scroll down to the bottom of the page where the delegate cost is listed.
I would like to receive a copy of the event slides, is this possible?
It is not our policy to give copies of slides for training events to individuals who have not registered and attended. If you have registered for a chargeable training event, but are unable to attend, provided we have approval from the presenter(s) we may provide you with a hard copy of the delegate pack. Alternatively, if there is another course scheduled for later in the year, we will transfer your registration to the later date.
For Early Evening Seminars we do not provide handouts or slides to non-attendees.
Presentations for LMA Conferences and non-UK Seminars are placed on the LMA website under Education & Events/Presentations, and can be accessed by Members only.
LMA Membership and application queries
How do I know if my organisation is a member of the LMA?
Please go to View LMA Members in the left hand menu of our home page. Please search for your organisation by selecting your criteria or the corresponding letter of your organisation. If your organisation is not listed, then it is not an LMA Member.
Our office in London has become a Member of the LMA, but I am based in Frankfurt so can I still register to attend an LMA event or access LMA documentation?
Yes. When organisations join the LMA, they join as a global firm and therefore employees in other geographical locations can access the Members' area of the website, and register to attend LMA Events.
What are the criteria for membership?
There are two types of membership: Full and Associate.
Full Members must be financial institutions and are likely to be loan arrangers, traders and other active participants in the loan market.
Associate Members are likely to be rating agencies, law firms, accountancy firms, smaller financial institutions and other professionals with an interest in the market.
Membership is not open to individuals. For details regarding subscription costs please go to Subscriptions or call us on +44 (0) 20 7006 6007.
My firm is interested in becoming a Member but it's now the middle of the year. Are subscription fees pro-rata?
No. Membership lasts from 1st January to 31st December of each year, and the full year's subscription fee must be paid whenever your institution joins. If you are still interested in becoming a Member, but you would rather wait until the start of the following year, we will be happy to take a note of your details and send out some documentation closer to the end of the year.
If we have applied online to Join the LMA, what happens after we have submitted our application?
Please organise payment of the appropriate fees by either cheque or bank transfer, as detailed in the online application. Once your payment has been received your Nominated Representative will be sent an email confirming their Username (email address) and password to access the Members' area of the LMA website. They must then send by return to the LMA a list of all relevant domain names (the part after the '@') for your organisation, so that the website can recognise other employees when they register as Users.
What is the LMA's connection with Clifford Chance?
Clifford Chance is a member of the LMA and acts as the LMA's legal counsel. The LMA has its office located in the Clifford Chance building, but is an independent UK registered company.
Accessing LMA Documentation queries
I can't seem to open a document in PDF/or Word format. Why is this?
Our documents are generally available only in Word format, except for the LMA User Guides and mark-up versions which are only available in PDF format. Please check any notes detailed against the document listing on the website to see which format the document is available in.
How can I see the changes that have been made to a revised document?
All new versions of documents posted to the LMA website are also accompanied by a marked-up version clearly showing the changes since the last publication. These can be found by selecting 'Mark-up' in the drop down category menu.
Is the LMA documentation available for purchase by non-Members?
The LMA Primary Market documents are available for sale to academic/training organisations. For more information on this contact the LMA on lma@lma.eu.com. Otherwise LMA documents are available to Members only.
