On 21 June 2016, the LMA hosted its second conference dedicated entirely to loan operations, which was attended by over 200 delegates.
This event provided an ideal forum for market participants to discuss the challenges facing loan operations teams, in the hope that it can pave the way to bring about increased efficiencies in the loan process as a whole.
An impressive line up of market practitioners spoke to the challenges, including promoting efficient practices, tackling delays to settlement compensation, agent operational and documentation matters, the impact of IFRS 9, Blockchain and the pipeline for 2016 and onwards. In addition, the LMA Operations Committee spoke to the initiatives undertaken to tackle some of these challenges, and summarised their success to date.
The LMA is engaged with some of the most experienced professionals in the operations arena. We share a common goal of effecting change. The brakes are off, it's full steam ahead.
